Aurora Gaming support Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov shared his thoughts on the match against Xtreme Gaming in the BLAST Slam III Dota 2 playoffs. The esports player commented during an interview on the tournament`s official broadcast.
Responding to a question about the third map, Mira stated: “It was a typical game against Naga Siren, Nature`s Prophet, Sand King, and an invisible Mirana. They just pushed lanes, we were chilling. In the end, we played for almost 70 minutes, as often happens. We knew we would win, but we needed to show maximum patience, just wait for our timings. One mistake, one crucial pick-off, and we push high ground. In the late game, Monkey King is strong, he has a large arena, so we could push.”
When asked if he ever doubted the victory or knew the game was in their hands: “I think we understood everything from the very beginning. (…) We just took Roshan and went to push. I think it felt simple for us.”
The match between Aurora Gaming and Xtreme Gaming concluded on the night of May 8th/early May 9th. The series ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Aurora, with the third map lasting over 64 minutes. In their next confrontation, Aurora will face Gaimin Gladiators for a spot in the semifinals.
BLAST Slam III is taking place from May 6th to 11th in Denmark. Ten teams are competing for a million dollars prize pool.
