NAVI Junior’s 16-Year-Old Mid-laner Niku Discusses Satanic Comparisons

Artem “Niku” Bachkur, the 16-year-old mid-laner for NAVI Junior`s Dota 2 team, recently shared his opinions on competing at PGL Wallachia Season 4 in a published interview.

“I am very happy to be playing in my first big LAN event. I hope we can reach at least the top 2. We have confidence in ourselves and know our signature heroes and meta. We are aware that we can defeat any team, but also lose to any. Winning my first LAN would make me happy and boost my confidence. However, I am already confident that I will be at the top in a few months or maybe a year.”

The young player also addressed the comparisons drawn between him and Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov from PARIVISION.

“[Question: `Many compare you to Satanic because you are both young and new to your teams, what are your thoughts on this?`] I don`t really know, it`s not that important to me. Satanic and I are different players; he is a carry, and I am a mid-laner. I am more like SumaiL – he had already won TI at my age, and I would rather compare myself to him than to Satanic.”

PGL Wallachia Season 4 is being held in Bucharest, Romania. The tournament`s prize pool is $1 million. As of this article`s writing, NAVI Junior with Niku have lost two matches in the group stage and are on the verge of being eliminated from the tournament. Tournament schedules and results are available in reports.
