Natus Vincere`s Counter-Strike 2 player, Ivan `iM` Mihai, has shared his thoughts on the team`s current difficulties. According to iM, NAVI faced similar issues in 2024, but their strong individual shooting skills masked these problems at the time. He discussed these challenges in a video posted on NAVI`s YouTube channel.
“It’s a tough question. I can’t pinpoint exactly what’s wrong with NAVI. There’s no single answer. I think it`s fair to say we are in a decline. We know we are capable of much better performance. The reasons could be varied – communication, for example. You might lose focus in a round and start improvising too much. There could be many reasons. And honestly, we had the same problems even in 2024 when we were winning. Back then, we compensated for everything with our aim. But now, if our shots aren`t connecting, and we make even minor mistakes, it negates any strategic plan we have for the round. Take donk, for example. He steps out and gets three frags instantly. What can you do against that? You`re forced into an eco round. Then, in the next round, maybe zont1x or sh1ro clutches a 1v2. And that’s it. Games end very quickly in MR12 format. Essentially, you need to fix your mistakes within three or four full buy rounds.”
Earlier, Natus Vincere`s coach, Andrey `B1ad3` Gorodenskiy, also reflected on the team`s current form. He stated that if the team fails to reach the quarterfinals of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, roster changes might be considered, although he clarified that these changes wouldn`t necessarily involve player replacements.
