Streaming giant Netflix has released the inaugural teaser trailer for the third season of its hit drama series, “Squid Game” (Ojingeo geim). The brief preview was published on YouTube, confirming that the highly anticipated show is scheduled to premiere globally on June 27, 2025.
“Squid Game” first captivated audiences worldwide with its debut season in September 2021. The series garnered critical acclaim and impressive ratings, holding an average score of 8 out of 10 from users on IMDb and 7.5 out of 10 on the Russian platform Kinopoisk. The second season followed in December 2024.
Reports previously highlighted “Squid Game”`s immense popularity, revealing it as the most-watched show of 2024 based on the number of viewing hours accumulated in a single week. The first season contributed significantly with 900 million hours watched, while the second season dramatically added another 4 billion hours. It`s worth noting that the second season premiered on December 26, meaning its viewing hours were counted despite not covering the entirety of the reporting week (December 23-29).
