Mojang Studios has announced an upcoming update for the popular sandbox game Minecraft.
A key new feature will be the Copper Golem – a mob that was one of the finalists in the community vote back in 2021. Its primary function is to assist players with inventory organization and item sorting. The Copper Golem will be able to automatically take items from copper chests and distribute them into other containers in the base, filling either empty chests or those already storing similar items.
In addition to the golem, the update will add copper gear – armor, tools, and weapons – which will stats-wise occupy a niche between stone and iron items.
The update is already available in the beta version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition and will soon appear in the Java version. The release date for the final patch on the main build has not yet been announced.
