DC Studios is developing a new film centered on Wonder Woman. This was confirmed by director James Gunn in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
According to Gunn, the project is currently in the scriptwriting phase. Details regarding the screenwriter, plot, release date, and cast are not yet available. Significantly, the new film is unlikely to be connected to the previous movies starring Gal Gadot.
This aligns with comments made in May 2024 by Patty Jenkins, director of the first two Wonder Woman films. Jenkins stated that a planned third movie featuring Gal Gadot was canceled and is not part of DC`s future slate under Gunn, who is focused on other projects.
