Nix Criticizes Teammates at BetBoom Streamers Battle CS2 #2

Streamer Alexander “Nix” Levin expressed strong criticism towards his teammates during the BetBoom Streamers Battle CS2 #2 tournament. During a match between Team Aunkere and Team Rachel, Nix vocally reacted to players offering conflicting ideas for the upcoming round at the same time. This incident was captured on Nix`s live Twitch stream.

Nix elaborated on his frustration by confirming that ideally, there should be one clear call from the in-game leader, Jerry, which everyone follows. He cited instances where Jerry`s calls were contradicted by other players, like Perfecto suggesting a different strategy (“We`re splitting A” vs. Jerry`s “Let`s take B”). Nix noted that Jerry tends to back down to avoid conflict. In contrast, Nix stated he has “zero tolerance” for things he dislikes, which he believes has often left him isolated. He linked this attitude to his decision to leave professional Dota 2 and focus on streaming, where his success is solely dependent on himself.

Levin mentioned that he has declined participation in many tournaments specifically because he did not like the team environment or “vibe.”

Expanding on this, Nix expressed difficulty understanding why others would tolerate unpleasant situations in media tournaments for benefits like “hype, money, or something else.” He firmly stated he is unwilling to compromise on this. He gave the example of refusing the previous CS Streamers Battle due to disliking the team composition. Nix emphasized that for him, the team “vibe” is more important than winning the tournament. He openly admitted he is “not the easiest person” and likely difficult to integrate into a team, which is why he chooses not to participate with others if the chemistry isn`t right, to avoid negatively impacting their atmosphere.

Nix also addressed a social media post by Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov, where Jerry mentioned the difficulty of playing with “three loud voices” simultaneously.

Nix highly praised Jerry`s composure, calling him a “stoicism-master” and comparing him to the philosopher Marcus Aurelius. Nix stated that if he were in Jerry`s position and his calls were constantly overridden, he would have reacted with significant anger and conflict in voice chat, unable to restrain himself. He found it astonishing that Jerry remained calm, arguing that such contradictory calls, especially towards a captain, aren`t just minor disagreements but a fundamental sign of disrespect and disregard for the captain`s authority and calls, effectively telling them “we won`t listen to you, your calls are worthless.” Nix deemed this lack of authority and respect unacceptable.

Levin later indicated that during the championship, he felt a desire to leave the team. Despite the internal conflict, Team Aunkere secured a 13:9 victory against Team Rachel, marking their first win in the tournament. Team Aunkere`s next match is scheduled against Team Skywhywalker on April 29th at 16:30 Moscow time.

The second season of the BetBoom Streamers Battle CS2 runs from April 26 to May 4, featuring eight teams competing for a ₽3 million prize pool.
