Streamer Alexander `Nix` Levin shared his thoughts on the current state of Dota 2.
When asked what it would take for him to return to Dota 2, Nix responded that he believes nothing will change his mind at this point. He mentioned that he had hoped for positive changes for four years, since Team Spirit`s victory at The International, but in his opinion, the game has only worsened over time.
Nix recounted that initially, the developers excused themselves by saying they were a new team needing time to adapt. However, he eventually realized that they were simply incapable of improving the situation. He concluded that everything has its end, and Dota 2 might be reaching its decline, making way for something new.
Regarding the possibility of IceFrog`s return to patching Dota 2, Nix was skeptical. He questioned whether IceFrog would abandon his current project, Deadlock, to return to Dota 2. While theoretically possible, Nix stated that he personally wouldn`t make such a decision if he were in IceFrog`s position.
Nix also addressed the rumors about him co-casting Riyadh Masters 2025 with Cooman. He clarified that he has not agreed to this. According to Levin, there may have been a misunderstanding between the streamers.
Nix explained that Cooman had asked him if he wanted to cast Riyadh Masters, and Nix replied that he would gladly do so if he regained the desire to watch Dota 2. He believes Cooman may have misinterpreted his answer, assuming that Nix`s desire to watch the game would definitely return.
Previously, Nix commented on his conflict with Funn1k at the HellRaisers bootcamp, stating he didn`t want to get involved in that situation, anticipating excessive media attention.
