Only 4.5% of Devices Have Installed Android 15

According to recent statistics released by Google, the newest version of the Android operating system, Android 15, is currently installed on a mere 4.5% of active devices. This data regarding Android 15 adoption was compiled based on smartphones that accessed the Google Play Store within a specified one-week period.

As of the time of this report`s publication, Android 14 holds the largest single share among all versions currently in use. However, its share stands at just 27.4% of the total market. This figure clearly indicates that the vast majority of Android users are still running significantly older iterations of the system. Despite the widespread use of older versions, experts have pointed out a noticeable trend towards users updating their devices. This observation is supported by Google`s own data adjustments made in late July 2024, at which time Android 14`s market share was considerably lower, at just 13%.
