Sergey Posashkov, General Producer at Paragon Events, shed light on why Alexander “Jam” Korotkov was suspended from broadcasting Dota 2 tournaments. In an interview, he didn`t disclose specific details but stated the decision was made for internal reasons related to the working team.
Addressing questions about Jam and other talents, Posashkov emphasized a clear understanding of corporate ethics: internal problems within the studio and concerning talents will always remain internal matters for him personally. He stated he could only share what was already publicly known or shared by Alexander himself.
Posashkov confirmed a conversation with Jam where he expressed concerns about issues and changes he observed in the casting, suggesting something needed to be done. As a result, they mutually agreed on a broadcast pause for Jam to try and address some things or simply reflect. Posashkov added that if Jam wishes to share more, he is free to do so; otherwise, it remains his private decision.
He noted that Paragon Events has worked with many talents over time, and collaborations haven`t always worked out. Reasons vary, including not fitting into the team, discipline issues, or conflicts. He reiterated that specific details remain an internal affair, highlighting the importance of the team feeling comfortable and safe working together. He believes that publicizing these internal reasons would only cause temporary online discussion without benefiting anyone involved.
Posashkov also commented on the swift spread of internal information within the esports broadcasting sphere, even if it often doesn`t become public knowledge. He described the talent community as a kind of “snake pit” where significant internal events become widely known almost instantly.
Jam`s suspension from Paragon Events broadcasts was reported on March 10. The caster himself mentioned not fitting in with the team and stated he “feared speaking his mind.” Later, Korotkov humorously posted an image referencing a “you were noticed” achievement and discussed the situation further in a conversation with Gleb “y0nd” Vazhnov.
