Artem Dombrovsky, the manager of the PARIVISION Dota 2 roster, shed light on the circumstances surrounding the lengthy pause that took place during their match against Aurora Gaming at PGL Wallachia Season 4. The interruption was caused by the detection of a bug within the game. Dombrovsky shared details about the situation on Telegram.
According to Dombrovsky, tournament administrators kept PARIVISION representatives uninformed throughout the investigation process and also prevented them from contacting the players. While the esports competitors themselves were permitted to leave their stations only briefly, for the vast majority of the extended pause, everyone involved was left waiting without updates.
The match saw Aurora Gaming face PARIVISION in the upper bracket semifinals of the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoffs. On the third map of the series, Aurora`s carry, Egor `Nightfall` Grigorenko, encountered a critical bug that prevented him from buying back despite having sufficient gold. This issue led to the game being paused. Following a delay that lasted approximately an hour and a half, the pause concluded, and PARIVISION were ultimately declared the winners after their opponents, Aurora, refused to continue the match.
