BetBoom Team`s carry player, Ivan Moskalenko, known as Pure~, shared his thoughts on the recent match against Aurora Gaming in the group stage of the PGL Wallachia Season 4 Dota 2 tournament. In a post-match interview following the series, he also discussed his rationale behind some of his high-risk decisions.
Honestly, I`m tired. The match was very stressful. On the second and third map, I played simply insane, I don`t know. We`ve been here for quite some time already: I don`t know why at PGL tournaments you have to be at the venue 2-3 hours before the match starts. Yes, you can somehow manage with that, but things happen. It was a long day, I was tired. I hope everyone enjoyed the match.
BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming faced off in the fourth round of the group stage, with Pure~`s team ultimately securing a 2-1 victory. A particularly memorable moment occurred on the second map where Pure~ was playing Phantom Assassin: after obtaining Aegis of the Immortal, he executed an aggressive dive under the opponent`s fountain. Although he lost his first life, the Aegis allowed him to respawn. Later in the game, having purchased a Refresher Orb, he died again, this time without buyback available.
This win successfully advanced BetBoom Team to the playoff stage of PGL Wallachia Season 4. Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming is scheduled to play a decisive series against Heroic in the group stage to determine their fate in the tournament.
