Demand for AMD Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards in the first days of sales has been ten times higher than for any other similar devices from previous generations of the company during the same period. This was announced by AMD CEO Lisa Su.
The company noted that they plan to increase supplies in the near future. Even considering the high initial hype, demand for the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT remains strong, so AMD, together with its partners, intends to further increase production. Earlier, AMD Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Client Business David McAfee stated that interest in the new line of video cards has been unprecedented.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT went on sale on March 6th. The first batch, which was available at retailers at recommended prices of $550 and $600 respectively, sold out in a short time. By the end of March, all these models in stores are either sold out or priced significantly higher. In Russia, for example, the RX 9070 XT costs about ₽100 thousand, which at the exchange rate at the time of publication is almost $1,2 thousand.
