Stariy_bog Team is set to continue competing in the BetBoom Streamers Battle 10 Dota 2 tournament with a change to their roster. Battle rapper and radio host Artyom “Raitraun” Selivanov has departed from the team. This news was announced on the tournament`s social media channels.
Raitraun later commented on the announcement via his personal Telegram channel, stating that he was “excluded” or kicked from the team.
I got kicked from the Dota tournament.
Frankly, as I mentioned at the start, media tournaments have essentially devolved into high-MMR players and their friends simply competing against each other for a bit of cash. We saw this even in our very first media league.
There were constant disagreements regarding the skill level of players who aren`t pros. Everyone was trying to kick others or abandon matches. The media personalities, who played support roles, stacked camps, placed wards, but were naturally less skilled at mechanical plays, were always blamed. Meanwhile, the high-MMR players were doing everything `normally.` It`s honestly just nonsense.
Bringing a media personality into a media tournament just to kick them after the initial losses is quite a `story,` isn`t it? Especially when that person was the only one on the team who even suggested we practice together.
While Raitraun was part of the roster, Stariy_bog Team played two matches in the tournament`s group stage. The team lost both of these encounters with a 0:2 score. For the subsequent matches, Selivanov was replaced by a player known as Trener.
