Professional Dota 2 player Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev has stated his intention to definitely form a team to compete in the qualifiers for The International 2025 (which will be the 14th International tournament). He shared this update during a personal Twitch stream.
It`s like the tournament [TI] isn`t as prestigious anymore. But, in principle, you can still tick that box. I`ll do everything in my power, assuming I`m even playing competitively. We`ll see, maybe I`ll even get there this year, who knows.
Yeah, this year Vovanchik [No[o]ne] will probably take the `Int`, guys. [Responding to a question about qualifier content]: `Will there be open qualifier content?` I think there will definitely be something. I will absolutely put together some kind of roster, one way or another.
Previously, Kushnarev had considered potential retirement. RAMZES666 noted that the final decision would depend on the current state of Valve`s MOBA. He commented, “I really don`t like the patch in Dota, not at all. I don`t like the current direction Dota is heading.”
The International 2025 is scheduled to take place in Hamburg, Germany, from September 4th to 14th. The event will feature 16 teams. The current prize pool for the tournament remains undisclosed as of the time of this report.
