Dota 2 professional player Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev revealed that Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk was originally intended to star in the Head & Shoulders commercial instead of him. This plan didn`t come to fruition because Lil was removed from Virtus.pro before the filming began. RAMZES666 shared this story during a recent Twitch stream.
“Initially, Lil was responsible for everything [media-related] alone, and then Solo and I distributed Lil`s responsibilities between us. We were mainly in charge of media for VP. The guys helped too. Well, [damn], they kicked him and divided Lil`s duties. It`s fine, it`s business. Otherwise, Ilyuk would have been in both Gillette and Head & Shoulders commercials. I think I mentioned before that they wanted Lil for the Head & Shoulders ad before me. Then they basically cut him out.”
RAMZES666 played for the “golden roster” of Virtus.pro from 2016 to 2019. He appeared in the Head & Shoulders shampoo commercial in 2018. Lil departed the roster on February 1, 2018.
