The developers of Fall Guys have officially launched the ranked matchmaking mode. This announcement was made on their official website.
After calibration, players will be placed into one of eight ranks: Novice, Challenger, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ace, Star, and Superstar. All ranks except Superstar are further divided into three sub-ranks (e.g., Novice 1-3). The rank achieved after calibration will be the minimum rank for the player for the rest of the season, meaning they cannot drop below it, even if they consistently lose in the first round.
The rating will be reset after each competitive cycle, which lasts eight weeks. At the end of each cycle, players will receive ranked emotes, and Stars and Superstars will also be rewarded with costumes.
Fall Guys was released on August 4, 2020, on PC and consoles, developed by Mediatonic. Initially published by Devolver Digital, the rights to the title transitioned to Epic Games in 2021 after the acquisition of Mediatonic. Subsequently, Fall Guys switched to a free-to-play distribution model, though for new PC users, downloading is now exclusively available on the Epic Games Store.
