FaZe Clan`s star sniper, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, recently shared his assessment of his team`s chances of reaching the final at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in CS2. The renowned player also commented on the potential for signing a permanent contract with FaZe after the conclusion of the Major.
When asked about his feelings after securing a playoff spot at the Major, s1mple stated: “My emotions are very good. We`ll see what happens. I`m especially looking forward to playing and having the audience support us because [FaZe] is an American organization. I`m sure there will be nervousness – as always. I always feel nervous before a match, but it becomes much easier once the match starts.”
Regarding his confidence in FaZe Clan reaching the final, he said: “I believe we can win this tournament. I think all our main rivals are in the other bracket. We don`t underestimate the teams in our bracket, but we understand that we can beat them confidently. Especially since the `FaZe magic` happens in the arena.”
On the topic of potentially signing a contract with FaZe, s1mple responded: “We`ll see. If they offer, then why not. If I show and perform well in the playoffs, I think anything is possible.”
Earlier, s1mple had publicly ranked the best players in CS2. In his S-tier, he included his current teammates, alongside Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 is currently underway in the USA, running from June 3 to 22. Teams are competing for a significant prize pool totaling $1.25 million.
