FaZe Clan`s Counter-Strike 2 sniper, Alexandr `s1mple` Kostyliev, recently spoke about his feelings regarding Team Vitality`s Mathieu `ZywOo` Herbaut surpassing him in the total number of MVP awards. Kostyliev shared his perspective during an interview with HLTV.org.
When asked if he was bothered by ZywOo passing his MVP count, s1mple responded: “Not really, because I`m not playing right now. I`m sure it would be different if I had played all these months that I missed. But I am looking forward to competing against him. He is the best player in the world, so we will see.”
As of the time this article was published, Herbaut holds a total of 26 MVP medals. His most recent award was earned for his outstanding performance at IEM Dallas 2025, a tournament that Team Vitality won. Kostyliev currently has 21 MVP medals to his name.
