S1mple: “I want to prove I’m still worthy. Give me a month.”

Renowned CS2 player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has shared his thoughts on his return to the professional scene and his temporary stint with FaZe Clan. The esports athlete admitted that he is not yet performing at the peak of his abilities, but he intends to change this quickly.

I enjoy playing right now, I want to play CS. I don`t want to miss any more tier 1 tournaments.

… This isn`t my maximum level. I don`t want to make excuses that we played with skullz [at IEM Dallas] or anything else. I just know that I will get better, the whole team will get better. With this roster, we can achieve certain results.

I know this, but people don`t know it.

I want to prove them wrong. Do it quickly. The most important thing — I want to prove to myself that I am still worthy. I know this, but I want other people to see it too.

Give me a month, just one month, and it will be a completely different story. I`m sure that in a few weeks, we will be better.

S1mple played for FaZe Clan at IEM Dallas 2024 as a stand-in. He is currently still under contract with Natus Vincere but has been inactive on their main roster since October 2023.
