S1mple’s Inappropriate Stream: Disconnects from FACEIT Game

Professional CS2 player Alexander `s1mple` Kostylev streamed on his personal channel while intoxicated. During the broadcast, he played several FACEIT matches, leaving one of them prematurely.

Video clips circulating online and on s1mple`s channel show him consuming alcohol during the stream. He was sometimes seen leaving the room with a bottle or glass, attempting to cover the camera with his hand. It`s also reported that Kostylev yelled at his teammates in voice chat and made strange in-game decisions, such as running into the enemy base without looking at the screen.

Towards the end of the stream, s1mple`s speech became slurred, and he refused to finish the FACEIT match. He left the game and ended the broadcast, saying goodbye to viewers. The FACEIT community manager received a complaint on X (formerly Twitter) about his behavior. It is currently unknown whether FACEIT administration will take any action against the esports player.

S1mple has been inactive since October 2023. In 2024, he temporarily played for Team Falcons as a stand-in and on loan. He is still under contract with Natus Vincere. Kostylev previously mentioned that he has been playing more Dota 2 recently, but continues to follow the competitive CS2 scene.
