Jonas “SabeRLighT-” Volek, the offlaner for Team Liquid`s Dota 2 squad, recently shared his thoughts regarding the decision for Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey to stand in for their regular carry player, Mike “miCKe” Wu, during the upcoming DreamLeague Season 26 tournament. SabeRLighT- provided his perspective on the situation during a recent broadcast on his Twitch channel.
“Yes, we are playing with V-Tune at DreamLeague Season 26. MiCKe took a break, he wasn`t kicked. I haven`t played with V-Tune before, but my teammates said he has good vibes. I`ve seen him at tournaments, he seemed quite calm to me. So yes, I`m excited.
I saw him playing in the FISSURE tournament, and Virtus.pro seems to be destroying everyone, which is very nice to see. MiCKe is obviously the better player, but I think V-Tune is the best stand-in we could get. We also considered Yuma and Nande, but I think V-Tune was the best option.”
DreamLeague Season 26 is scheduled to be held online from May 19th to June 1st. The tournament will feature sixteen teams competing for a substantial prize pool of one million US dollars.
