Netflix has released the official trailer for the second season of the anime series “Sakamoto Days”. The new season is set to premiere on July 14, 2025.
“Sakamoto Days” is an anime adaptation of the popular comedic action manga. It follows the story of Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who was once feared throughout the criminal underworld. After retiring, getting married, and putting on some weight, Sakamoto now lives a quiet life running a convenience store with his family. However, his past catches up, and it`s shown that despite his new appearance, he`s still a formidable force.
The first season of the “Sakamoto Days” anime premiered in January 2025. It has received positive reception, including scores of 7.4/10 on IMDb and 7.2/10 on Kinopoisk. The original manga, which began publication in 2020, holds a rating of 8.08/10 on MyAnimeList.
