DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures have officially released the second full trailer for the upcoming animated movie “The Bad Guys 2”. The new trailer was posted on YouTube and confirms the film`s premiere date, set for August 1, 2025.
The original “The Bad Guys” is a family-friendly animation centering on a group of professional anthropomorphic animal thieves. Despite their criminal activities, the film explores the idea that perhaps these characters aren`t inherently evil, but rather naturally feared by society. The story takes a turn when the gang`s leader, Mr. Wolf, unexpectedly performs a good deed and subsequently resolves to become a force for good. The sequel sees these now-reformed villains being drawn back into the perilous world of crime they left behind.
The first “The Bad Guys” debuted in theaters in 2022. It garnered positive attention, receiving ratings of 6.8/10 from IMDb users and 7.3/10 from visitors on the Russian site Kinopoisk. The film also proved to be a commercial success, earning over $250 million at the global box office.
