Team Spirit`s CS2 sniper, Dmitry `sh1ro` Sokolov, shared his feelings after their victory at PGL Astana 2025. In an interview on stage, he mentioned the entire team`s significant effort to win the trophy and specifically highlighted the individual performance of Danil `donk` Kryshkovets.
It was very pleasant to play here, thanks to Kazakhstan for the hospitality. I want to thank many people. My girlfriend is here, sunshine, I love you for your support. Thanks to our staff, our CEO who came here to support us, the media department. We felt that this tournament was ours, we really wanted to win it, we tried very hard, so for us, this is something more than just a victory. Honestly, without censorship, you can`t say it here. I`m amazed by Danya [donk]`s game, how many rounds he won. And the whole team came together. We made a few mistakes on Mirage, but overall, everything went as it should. We wanted to win and we won. I hope the Major will be as successful as this tournament.
PGL Astana 2025 was held in Kazakhstan from May 10 to 18. Teams competed for a $625,000 prize pool. Team Spirit secured the title by defeating Astralis 3:1 in the grand final.
