Following the successful Team of the Season event in EA Sports FC 25, EA is bringing back a popular fan favorite: the Shapeshifters program. Known for its innovative approach, Shapeshifters offers unique versions of existing players, featuring high ratings, significant position changes, and chemistry enhancements that can alter the game`s meta.
These special player cards may also gain new PlayStyles or Roles, allowing them to perform differently in the game. Shapeshifters is expected to be a major focus in EA FC 25 content for the coming weeks, starting with this initial release.
Headlining the first group of Shapeshifters are players like FC Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, who moves to central midfield, and Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté, reimagined as a top goalkeeper.
Representing MLS, LA Galaxy attacking midfielder Marco Reus is also included, appearing in a role similar to Kane`s altered position.
