Konatsu Kato, the actress taking on the leading role in Silent Hill f as Hinako Shimizu, recently shared insights into her involvement in the game`s creation. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), she expressed how deeply she immersed herself in the schoolgirl character, to the point where she occasionally felt a sense of losing touch with reality.
Silent Hill f utilizes both Kato`s voice and visual appearance, which required significant motion capture work. During the development phase, Kato was tasked with physically acting out scenes that depicted her character navigating the game`s unsettling world, sometimes encountering instances of violence and death.
According to Kato, she dedicated a considerable amount of time living through her character`s experiences within the Silent Hill universe. She mentioned sensing changes in her own consciousness at times but ultimately deemed the challenging process a valuable one.
