After launching on PC and PS5 in late 2024, Sociable Soccer 25 by Tower Studios will be released on April 3rd for PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
This arcade-style football game, designed for local multiplayer and player-versus-environment matches, is developed by Jon Hare, the creator of the famous Sensible Soccer series from the 90s. While Sociable Soccer may not have the same level of official licenses as EA Sports FC, it features over 13,000 real players through FIFPRO licensing. Unlike many sports games, it offers all content, including access to all licensed players, through the initial game purchase, without any additional microtransactions.
Nintendo Switch owners of the previous game, Sociable Soccer 24, are in luck: they will receive a free upgrade to Sociable Soccer 25.
In terms of gameplay, Sociable Soccer 25 is designed to be more accessible than games like EA FC, making it easy for new players to pick up. It includes local co-op, PvE modes, and online leagues with varying levels of competition. While the graphics are not as advanced as some of its competitors from EA Sports and Konami, the arcade-style visuals are well-suited to the game`s overall style and aim.
