SHIFT UP studio is set to release its sci-fi action game, Stellar Blade, for PC on June 11, 2025. This information reportedly comes from Gematsu, referencing a game trailer that was briefly posted ahead of schedule before being taken down.
The PC version of Stellar Blade will be released as the Complete Edition, arriving simultaneously on PS5. This edition for PC is expected to feature advanced technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, along with enhanced texture details, an unlocked frame rate, support for ultrawide monitors, and other graphical improvements. The Complete Edition also includes 25 new outfits and a new boss encounter.
Stellar Blade initially launched exclusively on PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024. Upon release, the game received generally positive reviews, earning an average score of 81 out of 100 from critics on Metacritic, while user scores reached 9.2 out of 10.
Following its PS5 launch, the design of Stellar Blade`s protagonist, Eve, drew criticism from some reviewers and players who described her appearance as unrealistic and overly sexualized. Notably, a journalist from IGN France made controversial remarks, suggesting the developers were unfamiliar with real women. In a notable counter-response, the Korean edition of Maxim magazine featured a photoshoot with model Shin Jae-eun, highlighting that Eve`s design was inspired by her likeness.
