Stray228: «Deadlock уже мертва — Valve на него забили»

Popular streamer Oleg stray228 Bocharov expressed his opinion regarding the future of Valve`s game Deadlock, stating that the project is unlikely to achieve success. According to the content creator, the MOBA-shooter had potential during its announcement, but Valve failed to capitalize on the opportune moment for promotion.

Deadlock is already dead. Deadlock died before it was even born, guys. Because Valve suddenly abandoned it. They could have announced a Deadlock International at the last Dota The International, when there was hype for Deadlock, and everything would have been fine. But they didn`t do that, and as a result, I don`t know what the online player count for Deadlock is now, tell me, maybe 6 thousand people? That`s at best.

The last time I played Deadlock was last year in October, when we played a tournament where Recrent also participated. I finished top 3 in the world and haven`t logged in since.

Deadlock won`t blow up, I think. Well, I give 99% certainty that it won`t succeed because they abandoned it.

Despite this pessimistic view, Valve did release a significant patch for Deadlock in mid-June. The update included changes to character stats, balance adjustments, and reworkings of some map objects.
