Fans of hockey who enjoyed Oddshot Games` Slapshot: Rebound might be interested to hear that the studio is now turning its attention to soccer with their new game, Strikers Club. This free-to-play multiplayer title is set to be released on PC via Steam and is expected to launch in the near future.
Oddshot Games is aiming for the competitive gaming scene with Strikers Club, seeking to differentiate itself from more arcade-style sports games by emphasizing realistic physics-based gameplay. In Strikers Club, players will control a single athlete rather than an entire team, highlighting the importance of teamwork and individual skill in mastering the game.
According to the official description, “Button-mashing won`t get you far in Strikers Club.” The game prioritizes skillful play where every moment and action is crucial. Players will need to skillfully dribble to navigate the field, control their direction and speed, outmaneuver opponents, and set up shots. Passing to teammates will be essential for coordinated plays. When shooting, players must aim using their camera and can utilize skill moves to stylishly evade other players. For those who prefer a defensive role, goalie mode will be available, offering specialized mechanics for defending the goal.
Strikers Club will support both controllers and mouse and keyboard inputs. Players will have the option to create their own clubs or join existing teams, with club versus club matches planned as a future addition to the game.
Beyond competitive matches, players can participate in custom 1v1 games on smaller fields or large-scale 11v11 matches. The game will also feature extensive customization options, allowing players to personalize their athletes to stand out on the field.
