Accompanying the revealing photoshoot, the model included a caption referencing the character`s deity: “Forgive me, Goddess Shar, I have succumbed to temptation again…”. Within the rich lore of Baldur`s Gate 3, Shadowheart is a pivotal playable character and a potential companion for the player`s protagonist. She is initially presented as an intensely private and mysterious individual devoutly following Shar. However, her loyalty and faith in the goddess are not as absolute as they first appear, with her ultimate path and devotion being significantly influenced by the player`s choices throughout the game.
Baldur`s Gate 3 saw its official release in August 2023, following several years of early access development. The critically acclaimed RPG quickly garnered widespread praise and went on to secure numerous prestigious `Game of the Year` awards for 2023.
