Team Spirit Analyst Sikle Explains Potential Doom Buyback Bug in Aurora vs PARIVISION Match

Team Spirit Dota 2 analyst Mark `sikle` Lerman has offered an explanation for the bug involving the hero Doom that occurred during the Aurora Gaming versus PARIVISION match in the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoffs. He shared his thoughts on Telegram.

Interesting math with Doom and Aurora. Yegor`s net worth is 37046, so buyback should cost around 3049, but since he has the `crap aspect` (+20% to buyback cost), it costs 3659 (as shown). However, there`s a bug here – I did a quick test, and because there was already a buyback earlier, the aspect applies the buyback penalty twice. This means it most likely costs 4390 now. The player has 4221 gold + the `Devour` buff, so the button could be clicked in 25 seconds when more gold comes in. These are just guesses based on one lobby test, so I can`t be certain.

The bug, which prevented Doom from buying back despite possessing sufficient gold, affected Aurora Gaming`s carry, Yegor `Nightfall` Grigorenko, during the crucial final map of the upper bracket semifinal against PARIVISION. The match was paused at the time this information was shared.
