Team Spirit Captain Chopper Bids Emotional Farewell to Magixx

Team Spirit`s Counter-Strike 2 captain, Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, has posted a touching farewell message directed at his now-former teammate, Boris “magixx” Vorobyev. This public tribute comes shortly after magixx was moved to the team`s substitute roster.

Shared on Telegram, chopper`s message reflects on the extensive period the two players spent together under the Team Spirit banner – a remarkable duration approaching six years. In the often-dynamic and sometimes turbulent world of competitive esports, such longevity as teammates is genuinely significant, representing a shared history of dedication, growth, and collective effort.

Chopper`s words convey a sense of disbelief at how quickly the time passed. He fondly recalled the initial stages of their partnership, mentioning “the first bootcamp with Borya,” where he, as “Chopych” (a familiar nickname), might have been intensely frustrated, perhaps even “smashing the keyboard,” while Boris looked on, seemingly puzzled by the captain`s antics. This personal anecdote adds a human element to their long professional relationship.

The message traverses their journey from those early, perhaps slightly chaotic, beginnings to the pinnacle of their shared success. Chopper specifically acknowledged magixx`s crucial role in their achievements, highlighting the victory at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. He thanked magixx not only for their collective path but also for contributing directly to “my lifelong dream, the Major and beyond.”

Beyond shared victories, chopper praised magixx`s development as a player, describing him as having matured into a “stable Tier 1 player.” He emphasized magixx`s reliability and willingness to help, not just within the game`s strategic and mechanical demands but also “outside of it,” suggesting a positive presence in the team`s overall environment.

Looking towards the future, chopper expressed well wishes for magixx`s next steps, pledging his continued support and promising to follow his career. With a touch of competitive anticipation inherent to their profession, chopper also voiced his hope to meet magixx again soon on the circuit, albeit this time as opponents. “Hope to see you soon at championships, but already as rivals!” he concluded.

Boris “magixx” Vorobyev was officially moved to the Team Spirit CS2 substitute roster on July 7th, marking the end of a nearly six-year tenure that began when he joined the organization. During his time, he was a vital component of the Team Spirit lineups that secured numerous titles, including their historic Major win earlier this year. Magixx`s position in the active roster has been taken by 17-year-old newcomer Ivan “zweih” Gogin, previously with Nemiga Gaming.

Chopper`s public message serves as a poignant reminder that beneath the competitive intensity of esports, genuine bonds and mutual respect form between teammates over years of shared purpose and pursuit of excellence, even as the inevitable roster changes occur.
