Team Spirit Coach Addresses Dependence on Donk

Sergey `hally` Shavaev, the CS2 coach for Team Spirit, recently addressed the common concern from the community regarding the team`s alleged over-reliance on the individual skill of player Danil `donk` Kryshkovets. Shavaev shared his perspective in a recent vlog published on the club`s official YouTube channel.

Well, the people who criticize don`t understand the internal workings. First and foremost, they need to look at Counter-Strike with more depth. You could say the same about the former G2 roster – it was essentially NiKo plus m0NESY. You could say it about Falcons now, or Vitality before ropz joined – there are many such examples.

It`s simply foolish to argue against the fact that Danya is the best player in the world right now. From a rifler`s standpoint, what he achieves is something others can`t even replicate with an AWP. Yes, other players use an AK-47 along with an AWP, but Danya consistently makes a significant impact and difference. To not leverage this talent would, of course, be absurd. When you have the world`s best player, discussions like this will inevitably arise. So, they don`t concern us in the slightest.

Statistical data supports donk`s impact. Over the last six months, Team Spirit competed across 86 maps. During this period, donk achieved the highest individual rating among his teammates, posting an impressive 1.45. The next closest player was their sniper, Dmitry `sh1ro` Sokolov, with a rating of 1.23.
