Team Spirit’s Reason for DreamLeague Season 26 Withdrawal Revealed

The CEO of Team Spirit has clarified the organization`s Dota 2 team`s decision to decline participation in DreamLeague Season 26. In a Telegram Q&A with fans, he explained that the team opted for rest and focused training in preparation for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2025.

According to the CEO, their strong performance in previous DreamLeague events allows them to be less reliant on EPT points. This provides them the flexibility to prioritize rest and dedicated practice sessions leading up to Riyadh.

DreamLeague Season 26 is scheduled to be held online from May 19th to June 1st. The announcement of Team Spirit`s withdrawal was made on March 30th.

Riyadh Masters 2025 will take place from July 7th to 20th, featuring 16 teams competing for a $3 million prize pool. Gaimin Gladiators, the reigning champions of the series, have received the first direct invitation. Eight more slots will be awarded to top-ranked ESL teams. Additionally, the tournament will include one winner from qualifiers for each of the following regions: Eastern and Western Europe, North and South America, Southeast Asia, MESA, and China.
