Team Falcons CS2 player Rene “TeSeS” Madsen shared his thoughts after the team advanced to the semifinals of IEM Melbourne 2025. Madsen expressed confidence in the team`s ability to win. He spoke about this in an interview following their match against GamerLegion.
Madsen commented, “You cannot expect us to just win because we got m0NESY. There are a lot of small nuances inside the game itself, we need to get used to him and he needs to get used to us, so we cannot perform at the highest level right now, but it will come in the future.
We have really big expectations and faith in this team. Before the Major, we believe we can actually win trophies, also at the Major. So yeah, [m0NESY is] a big upgrade, we have already shown we are competitive, so we`ll just see how far we can go.”
Team Falcons defeated GamerLegion in the opening playoff match at IEM Melbourne 2025 CS2. The match finished with a 2-0 scoreline (13:3 on Train and 13:4 on Nuke). Next in the tournament, Madsen`s roster will face MOUZ. This best-of-3 clash is scheduled for April 26th at 10:00 AM MSK.
IEM Melbourne 2025 is taking place from April 21st to 27th in Australia. Teams are competing for a $300,000 prize pool.
