The Boys Crew Satirize The Last of Us, Game of Thrones, and Award Shows

Amazon Prime Video and the creators of the series The Boys have released a humorous video clip satirizing popular contemporary television shows. The video was published on YouTube.

The clip is a parody of MasterClass commercials, where celebrities share their secrets of success. In this version, Adam Bourke, the director of the in-universe films about The Seven, explains how to win an acting award. It turns out, you don`t need to be a good actor; simply choosing the right role is enough.

Bourke recommends the following types of series: a historical drama about 19th-century England filled with sex scenes (referencing Bridgerton). A fantasy show featuring incest and dragon riding (referencing Game of Thrones). And a show about high cuisine where you have to “place rose petals with tweezers” (referencing The Bear).

The director also advises immediately rejecting zombie series. The only exception is if there`s a random gay episode partway through the season. That`s because, according to the parody, the American TV Academy absolutely loves that kind of thing (referencing The Last of Us).
