Obsidian Entertainment studio has presented the gameplay footage of The Outer Worlds 2.
The original game, The Outer Worlds, was released in October 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and later on Nintendo Switch in June 2020. It received positive reviews, with an average Metacritic score of 85 from critics and 7.9 from users.
The release of the sequel is scheduled for 2025, and more information about the game will be disclosed at a presentation on June 8th.
It was previously announced that Tim Cain, the creator of the original Fallout, will be involved in the development of The Outer Worlds 2 as a consultant. According to Cain, Obsidian Entertainment intends to implement ideas in the sequel that are similar to his previous work. He is reviewing levels and providing feedback, focusing on the game`s lore and tone.
