CS2 analyst Duncan `Thorin` Shields shared his thoughts on the status of Oleksandr `s1mple` Kostyliev in Counter-Strike. In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, he stated that no other player can truly be compared to the Ukrainian sniper.
S1mple broke the game. All these kids just don`t understand it. He`s not just the best or most valuable player — he`s the greatest player of all time. It turns out, even with the same stats, it`s impossible to replicate what he did, his impact on every round. S1mple never forced a clutch if the situation wasn`t right for him.
It also became known that s1mple is preparing for a return to the professional CS2 scene with FaZe Clan. He will represent the team at IEM Dallas 2025 and BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 on a loan basis from the Natus Vincere organization.
