Team Liquid stand-in Tobias “Tobi” Buchner gave an interview following the team`s victory over PARIVISION in the grand final of the FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 Dota 2 tournament. He shared his feelings about the win and discussed the team`s current form. The interview took place during the official English broadcast on the Kick platform.
Q: How do you feel about the result overall? Will we see you in a top team soon?
A: 100%. I`m playing so well that everyone is talking only about me.
Q: When a team wins a tournament right before a big LAN like the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2025, they often underperform there. How do you think Liquid will do?
A: Team Liquid is just getting into shape. The team wasn`t in the best condition at PGL Wallachia, but now the squad has had three full weeks of practice.
Q: In the FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 grand final, you won quite quickly with a 3-0 score. Are you planning to celebrate the victory, or will you get back to work immediately?
A: No, now it`s full preparation for Riyadh Masters 2025. For them, of course – not for me.
Q: What will you do?
A: I`ll be preparing for Dota 2.
Tobi participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 as a stand-in for Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi, who missed the event due to health issues. With Tobi, Team Liquid secured first place in Group A and subsequently defeated PARIVISION twice – initially in the upper bracket final with a 2-0 score, and then in the grand final, winning 3-0.
