Gaimin Gladiators Dota 2 support player Erik “tOfu” Engel commented on the team`s advancement to the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia Season 5. Speaking in a post-match interview after their victory over Team Liquid, he stated that the squad has finally found its peak performance after a challenging period.
We`ve come a long way with ups and downs. More downs, of course. The team worked hard every day, and now we are ready to show our best form. I`m happy that everything started working, as if a switch was flipped.
You always want to be at the top, but sometimes it doesn`t work out. The level of all teams has grown a lot. You can`t win all year, you need rest. And then we had to re-learn some things. After a few steps forward, there`s one step back. And so on, endlessly.
PGL Wallachia Season 5 is held from June 21 to 29 in Bucharest, Romania. 16 teams are competing for a total prize pool of one million dollars. The Grand Final, scheduled for June 29, will feature Gaimin Gladiators facing the winner of the lower bracket match between Team Liquid and BetBoom Team.
