Kadokawa has released the premiere trailer for the upcoming anime series titled “Young Ladies Don`t Play Fighting Games” (Japanese title: Tai Ari Deshita: Ojō-sama wa Kakutō Game Nante Shinai). The video, which was published on YouTube, includes footage showing gameplay from the popular fighting game, Street Fighter 6.
The series is set at Kuromi Girls` Academy, a school known for its elegance and the impeccable behavior expected from its students. Aya, who attends on scholarship, dreams of becoming as graceful and admired as her classmate and idol, Shirayuri. However, Shirayuri harbors a surprising secret: despite her refined appearance, she is a fierce and dedicated hardcore gamer, mastering complex combos and dominating her opponents in fighting games.
The anime is based on the original manga series, which first began serialization in 2020. The manga has been well-received by readers, holding a rating of 7.19 out of 10 on the MyAnimeList database.
