Twitch has announced significant updates to its policy concerning gambling advertisements on the streaming platform. Under the revised rules, the platform now explicitly forbids any form of advertising or sponsorship related to websites offering gambling services based on Counter-Strike skins, this includes popular formats like roulette and other similar services.
The prohibition applies broadly, even extending to free-to-play versions of such skin-based gambling sites. In contrast to the ban on skin gambling, Twitch has officially granted permission for streamers to broadcast and promote resources focused on fantasy sports, traditional sports betting, and poker.
This policy refinement follows previous actions by Twitch, which included banning content creators for promoting online casinos. While the old rules already prohibited interactive banners and direct links redirecting viewers to gambling platforms, the new update specifically targets and bans the promotion of the prevalent CS skin gambling ecosystem.
