Maximum Entertainment has outlined some of its planned features for the PlayStation 5 version of Maximum Football. The game is anticipated to launch in Summer 2025, although a specific release date has not yet been announced.
Version 1.0 of the game, set to debut simultaneously with the PS5 launch, will introduce new weather effects such as rain and snow. Initially, these effects will primarily serve as visual enhancements. However, a later update planned for the same year is expected to give weather conditions a gameplay impact.
Looking forward, players will gain more extensive customization options for their stadiums, with an emphasis on vibrant color choices. The developers plan to allow users to adapt elements like the turf and seating to their preferences, whether they opt for a natural appearance or something more visually striking.
From a mechanics standpoint, the development team is actively working on implementing a new playcalling system. The aim is to enhance the realism of CPU coaching behaviors and address feedback from players concerning issues such as late-game strategy, defensive calls, and maintaining balance between running and passing plays.
Before these new systems become fully available in the game, Maximum Entertainment plans to conduct additional fine-tuning on the blocking mechanics that were recently improved.
