Streamer and commentator Gleb “y0nd” Vazhnov from Paragon studio has criticized the official Russian-language broadcast of FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 in Dota 2. He shared his opinion on social media, expressing disappointment with the audio quality during the tournament.
Y0nd pointed out the lack of proper audio mixing, specifically the absence of mute buttons for casters. He complained about hearing coughs, throat clearing, and other distracting noises throughout the broadcasts. He contrasted this with his own studio`s practices, where casters use mute buttons to avoid such sounds reaching the audience.
The mention of a car service refers to earlier remarks made by FISSURE analyst Maxim “Shachlo” Abramovskikh. Back in March, Shachlo had joked about preferring to work at a car service station rather than at Paragon.
FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 took place online from March 22nd to 30th, with 16 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. BetBoom Team won the grand final against Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 3:0.
