Yakutia Launches International Game Publisher ‘New Game+’

The Yakutia Innovations Development Fund has announced the establishment of an international video game publishing house named `New Game+`. This new entity is set to publish games targeting not only the Russian domestic market but also the wider international audience.

The projects under development are part of an acceleration program facilitated by the fund in collaboration with Kazakhstan`s Astana Hub. Yakutian development teams are actively working on these titles, which are currently in significant production stages.

The initial game slate includes `Khara Myraan`, a folk horror title designed for players aged 16 and over. Drawing inspiration from the popular Resident Evil series, this project merges the distinct aesthetics of Yakutian mythology with visual elements reminiscent of the early 2000s. Players take on the role of a former criminal who must confront an ancient evil while exploring atmospheric environments.

The second announced project is `Spring Legacy`, an adventure puzzle game emphasizing visual storytelling, inspired by the critically acclaimed game Journey. The narrative follows a survivor from a tribe who encounters a mysterious young girl. Players will unravel the secrets of a spirit world by interpreting murals, solving logical puzzles, and exploring the surrounding world. Both games are being developed using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 and are anticipated to be released across all major platforms in January-February 2026.
