YEKINDAR Highly Praises FalleN’s Performance in New FURIA Role

FURIA Esports player Mareks YEKINDAR Gaļinskis shared his perspective on Gabriel FalleN Toledo`s role change within the team. In an interview with HLTV.org, he stated that the CS2 squad`s captain is managing excellently even without the AWP.

We always joke that FalleN played in the wrong role for eight years. I think it`s because of his captain`s experience, and also because he himself learned to play other positions and taught others. He has a good understanding of how each role works in the game, and this minimal knowledge is enough to play well. He knows when to move, when to throw grenades, how exactly to play.

If FalleN makes a mistake, he immediately understands it and says: `Oh damn, I should have done that differently.` Then he starts thinking, discussing, and asking questions, getting KSCERATO`s opinion on that situation. And that`s the most important thing. He`s not someone who switched roles and will still pick up the AWP every chance he gets. FalleN is really trying to learn how to play with a rifle, and I think he has an incredibly good foundation for it.

Besides that, I think he was born to create space for his team on offense. For example, mid on Anubis, he works excellently with different grenades to confuse opponents, and simultaneously tells us how to act in the situation he`s created. For the team, it`s just perfect.

In April 2025, FURIA Esports made several adjustments to its CS2 lineup. YEKINDAR, who is currently listed as a stand-in for upcoming events, and Danil molodoy Golubenko joined the roster. FalleN ceded the AWP to molodoy, despite having become a champion in numerous competitions as a sniper, including MLG Major Championship: Columbus and ESL One Cologne 2016.
