Update: Following earlier reports of his potential departure, FURIA Esports officially announced on July 4th that Mārek “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis will remain part of their Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was made via the club`s social media channels.

Original Report: Previously, the professional Counter-Strike 2 player himself had indicated a potential change, stating on his personal social media (X) that “Big changes are coming…” and thanking FURIA for his time with the team:

Big changes coming…
Just want to thank FURIA for believing in me and giving me a chance to grow. Grateful for the past, ready for the next chapter in my career.

YEKINDAR originally joined FURIA as a stand-in in April. During his time with the team, he helped them secure a 4th-place finish at PGL Astana 2025 and a 5th-8th place finish at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. At the time of the initial report, his potential replacement was unknown.
