You Missed the Insane TI Qualifier Series: Wild Comebacks and Drama

If you opened Cybersport.ru this morning and saw the news that Heroic defeated Edge to qualify for The International 2025 in Dota 2, you might have mentally shrugged and scrolled past. However, behind that seemingly simple headline lay an incredibly exciting and dramatic grand final.

For those who preferred sleeping over watching the conclusion of the South American qualifiers last night, we`ve prepared a brief recap of a series where every single map featured massive comebacks.

The first map of the grand final was an absolute masterclass from carry player Yeremi “payk” Paucar Arroyo.

And that`s how Heroic truly fought their way to a spot at The International 2025, delivering, together with Edge, one of the most entertaining, intriguing, and exciting series in the regional qualifiers.

The only sad outcome of this grand final is the fact that all the star Peruvian carries will miss TI this year. Indeed, before payk, players like K1, Parker, and Pakazs (who didn`t even participate) had already said goodbye to their chances of attending The International.

For the past four years at TI, Peru has consistently been in the top 3 (often even top 2) countries by the number of its representatives at the championship. This time, only Scofield will be there. What has happened to us?
